About
The People's Gold is an herbal apothecary dreamed up by Clinical Herbalist and Artist, Lynn Golan. Based in the lush Northeastern ecosystem, The People's Gold is grounded in the values of community, reciprocity, and healing. Lynn lives and gardens in the eastern woodlands of Western Massachusetts, on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Pocumtuc, Nipmuc, and Wabanaki peoples. Lynn feels most at home bare-footed with hands in the Earth. She has worked on various farms and gardens, learning to steward plants and develop deep relationships. She proudly grows the majority of herbs that she uses in The People's Gold products using no-till, regenerative cultivation practices. Lynn is the co-founder of the Western Mass Herbal Symposium, a day long herbal conference celebrating the rich herbal community throughout the Pioneer Valley.
Lynn studied with 7Song at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine in Ithaca, NY and completed Farmacy Herb's Herbal Clinical Residency in Providence, RI; working with various practitioners at the Sage Healing Collaborative, an integrated medical office. Lynn has completed the Wild Current School's Advanced Clinical Skills Program, as well as the Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine's Herbal Practitioner Skills class, the Survivor Art Collective's Trauma Informed Practitioner workshop. She is a Cornerstone certified Full-Spectrum Birth Doula. Lynn worked as the Apothecary Coordinator with The People's Medicine Project for four years and served as an herbal practitioner with the Greenfield Healing Clinic for five years. Lynn currently works with clients through her private herbal consultation practice.
Lynn's enthusiasm for herbalism is rooted in empowering people to reclaim
wellness through the connection between body, mind, spirit and Earth.
